Console Server Management
Console servers provide a simple and secure solution for
accessing, monitoring, and controlling distributed networks of
servers and appliances, from a single site. They provide direct
console and screen access for troubleshooting and diagnostics,
and enable the infrastructure to be reconfigured and rebooted,
ensuring availability at critical times.
UltraConsole ll™
The UltraConsole ll family of console servers enables system
administrators and IT professionals to securely manage their data
centers and networks from anywhere in the world. UCll provides
reliable and affordable access to the serial console ports, and the
graphical desktop screens of Windows, Sun and Linux servers.
UCll can also monitor and control network infrastructure
(switches, firewalls etc) and manage general appliances (PBXs,
building security, power switches etc).
UltraConsole II™ Advantages . . .
Rose’s 25/7 philosophy is about total IT uptime, and total
accessibility and control of systems to facilitate that uptime.
System and network managers are tasked with keeping their
operations up and running on a continuous basis, and to affect
this, they need total management capability at all times.
UltraConsole ll helps Managers to meet this need., and offers
the latest in out-of-band console and secure RDP and VNC
support. UltraConsole ll works with the widest range of third
party network equipment, power controllers etc. and is entirely
complementary to Rose’s highly regarded Industry standard
enterprise KVM management systems.
UltraConsole ll is built on open source standards and its quality
reflects the strength and security of it’s Linux platform, which
has been optimized specifically for secure console management
and remote control applications.
UltraConsole ll couples it’s solid operating system with a totally
integrated hardware design. UCll runs on powerful ARM-based
“System on Chip” technology with a very low component count,
meaning higher reliability, lower power consumption and superb
network and cryptographic performance.
UltraConsole ll has been optimized for stand-alone secure
remote management with a simple Web browser interface for
easy configuration, including setting security levels and user
access privileges. Command line access to the Linux kernel is
also supported.
UltraConsole ll is an excellent stand-alone access product, but
can also be neatly integrated with higher-level enterprise
(KiNETWORKS C-LIM, BMC, Tivoli, Openview) and open source
(Conserver) management applications to provide a unified
solution.
UltraConsole ll can also integrate at port level with Rose’s
Enterprise KVM solutions. That means that Rose’s broad range
of access and control products offer any User the opportunity to
work in the way he finds most comfortable day by day, either in
band or totally outside of the network, but with the security of
knowing that there are redundant management access methods
always available
